Junior Academy Competition Calendar 2010

PAR 3 MONTHLY MEDALS

These will be held on the first weekend of each month alternating between Saturday and Sunday on the following dates: -

Sun 7th March
Sat 3rd April
Sun 2nd May
Sat 5th June
Sun 4th July
Sat 7th August
Sun 5th September
Sat 2nd October

This year all medal competitions will again run on a tee-time booking basis instead of a shotgun start. All players must make sure they book a suitable start time at the Pro shop (Times will be available between 8.30am and10.00am). For 2010 trophies will be awarded for the first three places along with other bonus prizes. Points will be allocated towards the final Order of Merit after each event.Telephone 01625 531359 or call in at the pro-shop to book a tee time.

PAR 3 MAJOR COMPETITIONS

The three major events for 2010 will be the Styal Junior Masters, The Styal Junior Open and The Styal Junior Ryder Cup. Ring : 01625 531359  to book a tee time or e-mail:.gtraynor@styalgolf.co.uk for further information.

These will be held on the following dates: -

*The Styal Junior Masters               Saturday 17th April

*The Styal Junior Open                     Sunday 18th July

*The Styal Junior Ryder Cup           Thursday 26th and Friday 27th August

*Competitions are open to all juniors who hold a current handicap
or are at a suitable standard to be playing on the golf course.
The teams for the 'Ryder Cup' will receive an invitation to play near the time.

TEAM MATCHES

Players will be picked from the juniors who are enthusiastic, courteous and on form!
Details of team selection will be posted in the junior competition folder behind the pro-shop counter at least two weeks prior to each event. We are currently in the process of purchasing new team uniforms that will be presented on the day, please wear navy/black trousers and shoes (not trainers).

JUNIOR COMPETITIONS

The events below are open to all juniors who are members and have an official club handicap. Juniors without a handicap who would like to obtain one contact Mark or Glynn.

To enter the following competitions you must pre-book at the pro-shop in the allocated times provided. The prizes for the events below will be presented after the generation game on Wednesday 27th October. Ring 01625 531359 or call in at the pro-shop to book a tee time.
