Junior Academy Competition Calendar 2008

PAR 3 MONTHLY MEDALS

These will be held on the first weekend of each month alternating between Saturday and Sunday on the following dates: -

Sat 1st March
Sun 6th April
Sat 3rd May
Sun 1st June
Sat 5th July
Sun 3rd August
Sat 6th September
Sun 5th October

This year all medal competitions will again run on a tee-time booking basis instead of a shotgun start. All players must make sure they book a suitable start time at the Pro shop (Times will be available between 9.00am and10.00am). Ring 01625 531359 or call in at the pro-shop to book a tee time.

PAR 3 MAJOR COMPETITIONS

The three major events for 2008 will be the Styal Junior Masters, The Styal Junior Open and The Styal Junior Ryder Cup. Ring : 01625 531359  to book a tee time.

These will be held on the following dates: -

*The Styal Junior Masters               Saturday 19th April

*The Styal Junior Open                     Sunday 19th July

*The Styal Junior Ryder Cup           Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd August

*Competitions are open to all juniors who hold a current handicap
or are at a suitable standard to be playing on the golf course
(i.e. passed a minimum ‘ level 2’ standard on the junior coaching scheme).
Please talk to one of the Professionals if you are unsure as to the standard required.

Junior 18 Hole Competition Calendar 2008

TEAM MATCHES

Players will be picked from the juniors who are enthusiastic, courteous and on form!
Details of team selection will be posted in the junior competition folder behind the pro-shop counter at least two weeks prior to each event. We are currently in the process of purchasing new team uniforms that will be presented on the day, please wear navy/black trousers and shoes (not trainers).

JUNIOR COMPETITIONS

The events below are open to all juniors who are members and have an official club handicap. Juniors without a handicap who would like to obtain one contact Mark or Glynn.

To enter the following competitions you must pre-book at the pro-shop in the allocated times provided. The prizes for the events below will be presented after the generation game on Wednesday 29th October. Ring 01625 531359 or call in at the pro-shop to book a tee time.
